LILLINGER
STEMESEDER-LILLINGER strives to manifest diverse currents of contemporary practices and utopias in sound production, acoustically and electronically, both in the studio and in concert. They make use of compositional and production approaches from a wide range of geographical and temporal locations, and through a synthesis of these forge a radically modern sonic idiom that is both free of templates and rich in references.
ABOUT
"In contrast to other, more analog and determined musical environments we operate in, STEMESEDER-LILLINGER opens a space for electro-acoustic research which revolutionizes our way of thinking sound and performance. Manipulations of signal paths and utilization of self-produced samples allow for novel causal chains within the music and a reciprocal feedback between ourselves and our instruments. This feedback loop also occurs throughout the different MODI, in which parts of our repertoire take on new meaning due to changed sound environments. It is a continuous process in which materials and authors are in constant dialogue."

ELIAS STEMESEDER
ELIAS STEMESEDER , born 1990, is a pianist, keyboard instrumentalist, electronic musician and composer. He studied piano, organ, and composition in Salzburg, Linz, and Berlin. Stemeseder is actively involved in the hybridised music scenes of North America and Europe, working in groups such as "Neon Dilemma", "Wrens", "Shimmer Wince", "Philm" and "Evans/Stemeseder". He is a recording artist for Intakt Records and his work has also been featured on releases by labels such as Winter&Winter, Clean Feed and Klaeng. Elias Stemeseder was an artist in residence at The Stone NYC in September 2022 and has received prestigious awards and commissions in the USA, Germany and Austria for his work as a keyboard-instrumentalist and composer.
CHRISTIAN LILLINGER
Born in 1984 in Lübben, Christian is an internationally recognized composer, drummer, curator, and producer. He began his musical training at the age of 13 and later studied at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden. Since 2003, he has been based in Berlin, where he is actively involved in the contemporary music and art scene. Lillinger founded several ensembles, including Christian Lillinger's GRUND, the ensemble DELL-LILLINGER-WESTERGAARD (DLW), and the project "Open Form for Society" (offS). His innovative work has earned him numerous awards. In 2018, he established the label PLAIST, which specializes in avant-garde, current, and post-genre music with a focus on process-oriented approaches.

UMBRA
Modular ensemble structure involving guest musicians; acoustic, electroacoustic and electronic setting.
ANTUMBRA
Duo work and co-production at the core, sometimes featuring contributions by others; electroacoustic and electronic setting.
Their creative work is categorised into three distinct modes, each representing different processes and viewpoints. The names "PENUMBRA," "UMBRA," and "ANTUMBRA" signify these modes, allowing the duo to develop, refine and present an acutely varied body of work.
